Ei-ichi Negishi today observed that the ‘seed for any research is dream.’
Negishi, who shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Richard F. Heck in 2010,felt that the dream has to be converted into a plan followed by activity and systemic exploration.”Also,a researcher needs good mentoring and optimism that forbids him from giving up midway in research”,he said while speaking on “magical powers of transition metals’at IIT Bombay’s concluding day of the Techfest.
The Nobel laureate urged youngsters to work hard towards their area of expertise. This was necessary to make scientists who can benefit the society.
