The three day conference of the Jharkhand Muki Morcha concluded in Jamshedpur today with two major decisions.
One,Hemant Soren,Leader of the Opposition,Vice President of the JMM and son of party President Shibu Soren,was appointed as Acting President of the party.The decision was taken unanimously in presence of hundreds of party workers and office bearers including Shibu Soren and his wife Rupi Soren.
All of them greeted Hemant saying ;”Hemant Soren Zindabad,Zindabad.”
This means that now onwards,JMM will be led by Hemant who had succeeded in strengthening the party over the years
Two,JMM has decided to speed up its activities in tribal infested areas of Orissa and West Bengal by fighting for its old demand-Greater Jharkhand- to include Purulia,Bankura and Midnapur districts of West Bengal and Mayurbhanj,Keonjhar,Sundergarh and Sambalpur districts of Orissa in Jharkhand.
And as such,the JMM may try to gain ground in these districts by organising movement for ‘Greater Jharkhand.’
