BJP stands for tribals, says Narendra Modi in Dumka

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed two election rallies-one at Barhait and second at Dumka.

Both these two of total 18 Assembly constituencies fall in Jharkhand’s Santhal Pargna Division-slated to go to poll on December 20.Almost all these constituencies were homeland of tribal.

And as such,all political parties including the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha led by its President Shibu Soren and his son Hemant Soren,Chief Minister, who were tribals,talked about the tribals and their plan to bring about development for them.Much before the Assembly poll was notified,the BJP two tribal leaders-Simon Marandi and Hemlal Murmu-who were earlier leaders of the JMM.

Now, when Louis Marandi and Hemlal were contesting Dumka and Barhait on BJP’s ticket,JMM leaders especially Shibu and Hemant were camping in Santhal Pargna to retain their hold.

Aware of their strength,Narendra Modi told the people to vote against “I want to tell one thing from here, without your development, nation can’t move forward. I am not sitting in Delhi as a Prime Minister. I am sitting there as a ‘chowkidar’. No ‘panja’ and no ‘teer’ should hover around the treasury of government. I am working in the same direction,”said Modi while addressing an election rally in Dumka.

“The treasury of government is empty but the father-son had looted the state. Jharkhand has the capacity to provide employment to its people. In fact, it has enough capacity to provide jobs to people of other states”, said Modi.

In their campaign,Sorens had described BJP as a party of ‘capitalists’. But Modi told the people that since he belonged to the poor family,he was committed to work for the poor people.
