In his address at IIT Bombay today,Amartya Sen said “it is tough to look at economic development without looking at gender equality and other social indicators.”
He was speaking on ‘India: A defense & critique’.Bangladesh, even though poorer than India,is racing ahead in gender related indicators’,he said.
