Jharkhand Governor Sayed Ahmed was felicitated by Maharashtra College of Arts,Science and Commerce in Mumbai today.
The program began with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Prof. Alam Nadvi. The Master of Ceremonies Dr. Siraj Chougle briefly introduced the eminent personalities on the dais.
Principal Dr. M.A.Waheed, welcomed and honoured the guests with a bouquet and shawl. The Guest of Honor, Dr. M. A. Khan, Registrar University of Mumbai was introduced by Dr. Munawar Ali, member of the Management, K.I.H.E.S. The Registrar, Dr. M.A. Khan then shared some of his views and opinions on student life and how they need to synchronise the personal, religious and societal aspects of life.
He even provided some useful tips to a successful student life. Dr. Siraj Chougle introduced and invited the Honorable Governor to speak on the occasion. He gave students a good insight into what student life is all about and the importance of knowledge. With a great sense of humor and anecdotes his speech on the limitation of “freedom” he has left an indelible impression on the minds of the listeners.
The prize distribution ceremony followed with Dr. Abdul Qayyum Ansari Associate Professor, Dept. of Botany, giving apt descriptions of the meritorious students. Dr.Siraj Chougle finally thanked the Chairman Students Council Prof. Nahid Bhujwala and also the Chairman of Gymkhana Prof. Arab Abdul Aziz for successfully organizing the program. The program ended with the vote of thanks given by the Gymkhana G.S, Shaikh Shahnawaz.
