Four Maoists today surrendered before Chief Secretary and DGP,Jharkhand.
These Maoists were:CPI(Maoist)’s Laldip Singh Kharwar alias Bandhan Singh,Latehar,who was holding the post of ‘Commander’;People’s Liberation Front of India’s Jai Praksh Bhuiya who was facing several charges of crime including extortion in Khunti;PLFI’s Ranjit Pradhan,who was working for the PLFI and collected extortion in Khunti;and PLFI’s Kamal Gope,who collected “levy”for the outfit,in Torpa and Rania areas of Ranchi district.
Police claim that due to the anti Naxalite operation carried by security forces,the Maoists were under pressure.”This was compelling many of them to surrender.Four of them did so today”,said a press release issued by the police
