Ranchi based UNICEF,Jharkhand Chief Job Zachariah has been shifted to Chennai as Chief of UNICEF in Tamil Nadu & Kerala.
Zachariah,who performed commendable work during his four year tenure in Jharkhand is slated to take charge of his assignment on May 1.
Records show that he not only organised programmes to empower women and rights of children,but also visited different towns and villages to promote the cause of UNICEF.
In a message to the media today Zachariah said;”I wish to express my thanks for your support in highlighting the rights of children in Jharkhand. This has resulted in improved awareness on several issues such as malnutrition, neonatal deaths, open defecation, quality education and child protection”,he said..
