A workshop was organized by the Vigilance Department at HEC Conference Hall on the topic of “Public Procurement” & “Salient Features of RTI Act”.
A presentation on the topic of Public Procurement was made by Rakesh Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, Hindustan Copper Limited, Kolkata. He emphasized the need of public procurement keeping in view the vigilance angle.
Kumar also opined that the public procurement should be made in fair and transparent way. He advised the senior officers of the corporation to be cautious, while dealing with public procurement that no favoritism is done.
A presentation on the topic of “Salient Features of RTI Act” was made by Supriya Jaiswal, Chief Vigilance Officer, MECON Limited, Ranchi. She advised the concerned authority for timely reply to the queries of the applicants.
The workshop was attended by Avijit Ghosh, CMD,S K Pattanayak, Director (Finance), Ravindra Verma, Chief Vigilance Officer and other senior officers of the Corporation.
