Work to provide jobs to youths,CM tells Tata Motors & CII

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today observed that the private sector companies and the state government run undertakings should work by keeping in mind a common responsibility to provide jobs to local youths and increase revenue of the state.

“Due to the stock transfer made by the state based industries,the state suffers from the loss of revenue.Therefore,if the production and supply were carried by these companies in the state,the commercial tax revenue will increase which can be used for additional resources”,said Das while addressing a meeting with the Jamshedpur based Tata Motors’ Plant Head AB Lal and Confederation of Indian Industries(CII)’s SK Behra inside his office at Project Bhawan in Ranchi.

Lal and Behra assured the CM that their companies will soon submit a status report keeping in mind two things:one,future prospects of the Autombile industry in the international and domestic markets and two,the commercial tax pattern and implementation of the GST.

The meeting was attended among others by Development Commissioner RS Poddar,Principal Secretary(Mines)Santosh Kumar Satapathy,Secretary,Commercial Tax,Nidhi Khare,CM’s Secretary Sunil Kumar Agrawal and Secretary,Industry Himani Pandey.
