A Naxal leader has been arrested by Delhi Police’s Special Cell. He was involved in attack on police party in Jharkhand.
A senior police officer today said that the arrested Naxalite, Nagina, has been a ‘sub-divisional commander’ of Chatra area and was active in Aurangabad, Chatra and adjoining areas.
On specific information, a team of Special Cell arrested him from South-West Delhi last night, he said.
He was allegedly involved in a Maoist assault on a police party in Chatra district in which one constable was killed in December, 2014.
The Jharkhand Police had declared an award of Rs 5 lakh for his arrest.
