VAT exempted from security forces’ canteens in Jharkhand

In a major decision to provide relief to security forces in Jharkhand,the state Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Raghubar Das today lifted Value Added Tax(VAT) from their canteens.

The canteens were run by CRPF Training Centre,Meru,Hazaribagh,106 Rapid Action Force,Jamshedpur and Central Reserve Police,Turil Ashram,Ranchi.

This means that the items sold and purchased by these canteens will be free from VAT and as such the security forces are bound to benefit from the move.

More,the tax collected from the Ramkrishna Ashram,Ranchi and Jamshedpur and their units will also be free from VAT,as per the cabinet decision.
