Unorganised Labour to receive facilities and security

DSC_9110The Chief Minister Raghubar Das today addressed a conference of the Ministry of labour in Ranchi. He emphasised that the strength of the labour force is the foundation of a country’s development.

92 percent of the state’s unorganised labour force works in state or in other states. To fast track the process of development, it is imperative to provide them with security, protection, education and other facilities. Das said that in this era of liberalisation and globalisation, it is the government’s primary concern to provide security to the increasing number of workers in the unorganised sector.

The state government is planning to work in collaboration with the central government to provide more facilities and security to the unorganized labour sector.

The labour ministry has developed a portal where a unique identity number and facilities will be provided to the workers of the unorganised sector. The registration of almost 2 million workers have been completed. To prevent the mass exodus of workers from Jharkhand, the state government is gearing up to provide more facilities and security for them.
