In two separate encounters,six Maoists were killed today in Jharkhand’s Gumla district.
The first incident took place in forest area falling in Bishunpur block in Gumla district where five Maoists were reported killed in an “encounter”,claimed the police.
The encounter was reportedly between the security forces comprising CRPF and the state police and the CPI)Maoist) ultras.
Claiming that the “encounter” was still on,a senior police officer disclosed that the forces had recovered a US- made rifle,210 bullets,grenade and wire from the encounter venue.
However,the police had recovered the body of one Maoist whose identity was not known.
The second incident took place between CRPF and the CPI(Maoist) near Sargaon village under Chainpur police station in Gumla district where one Maoist was killed and a rifle was recovered from the spot,said the poice.
