Documents show that Jharkhand tribals worship roosters and hens and sacrifice them for their own aspirations.
The latest is their move to make use of it to mobilise people only to protest against the Raghubar Das government’s move to amend the Chotanagpur and Santhal Pargna land Tenancy Acts.
The amendment is slated to be tabled on floor of the Assembly on Wednesday.On Tuesday,while worshipping,these tribals tagged and sacrificed roosters and hens.
Also,they were spotted doing the same with ruling party MLAs.They were understood to be involved in performing their traditional tantra at Banhaura village near Ranchi on Tuesday for a political action.
The act is symbolic of the tradition of tribals.In fact,these tribals worship domestic birds before sacrificing them before the God(Almighty) for their own aspirations and goal.
A tribal said that the act today was being performed to make ruling party people understand that amendments in CNT/SPT Acts were against the interests of the people and if they supported the amendment being introduced by the state government in the State Assembly on Wednesday,they would be punished by the God.
