
Train services were disrupted in Chakradharpur division of South-Eastern Railway today as uprooted trees fell on the railway tracks after a storm lashed the area.
Uprooted trees fell on the railway tracks between Sini and Gamariah station and Mahalimurup-Sini station of Jharkhand under Chakradharpur division, Railway officials said.
All trains including long-distance express trains were stranded at different stations due to the storm, they said.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Chakradharpur Division A K Agarwala said the restoration work was on and the uprooted trees which fell on tracks have been removed and efforts were on to normalize the train services.
