In honour of its martyrs,the Jharkhand Police will hold a musical evening in Ranchi on October 21.
Billed as “Saheed Sammaan Sandhaya”,it is planned to be organized jointly by the Jharkhand Police and a private body called Innovations India.
This is for the first time,the state police had cared to pay tribute to all those police personnel who had died in uniform,most of them fighting against the Left Wing Extremists,during the past 13 years since Jharkhand was created in 2000.
Top brass of the police including DGP Rajiv Kumar,ADGP,BB Pradhan,ADGP SN Pradhan and IG R. Dungdung today addressed a joint press conference in Ranchi informing the media about it.”We have made a move to pay tribute to the martyrs”,said DGP Kumar.
