Tata Steel staff in cheers as NAE inducts Ratan Tata as Foreign Associate

Tata Steel staff in Jamshedpur were in cheers today after the news trickled down that their ex leader Ratan Tata was slated to be formally inducted into the prestigious National Academy of Engineering in the US tomorrow.

NAE has decided to induct him to honour his “outstanding contributions” to industrial development in India and the world at large.’We are proud of him.Under his leadership our company grew leaps and bounds and made name world wide’,said a junior staff of the Tata Steel.

“I remember when he was in Jamshedpur last year,he had charmed many of us.We remain charged and feel we owe to the company which had given us identity and many things in life”,said another Tata Steel staff.

Ratan Tata, who is chairman emeritus of the Tata Group, one of India’s largest and oldest conglomerate, will be inducted as a Foreign Associate,NAE said in a statement.

Founded in 1964, NAE is a US based private, independent, nonprofit institution that provides engineering leadership in service to the nation.This year,this bod has enlisted 69 new members and 11 foreign associates,making total US membership to 2,250 and the number of foreign associates to 211.
