Senior IPS officer Surender Singh has been appointed as the new Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force.
Singh, a 1980-batch police officer of West Bengal cadre, is at present a Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau and will take over the new charge as incumbent Director General Arvind Ranjan retired on Thursday.
An order for Singh’s new posting was issued today by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister. Singh will have a tenure till August next year.
