Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuwar Das today told the concerned officials to locate and find land for industrial development under the Union Government’s project-Easter Dedicated Frieght Corridor.
For all round development,economic development has to be accorded prominence,said Das.”Fast economic development of the state is possible by giving prominence to industry,capital investment and so on.”.
The government of India’s Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor crosses through Jharkhand.As such,there is a huge possibility of industrial development along the areas of the state falling in this Corridor”,observed Das.
When Industry Secretary informed him that 3.5 acre land was available in Koderma,CM said,non-controversial land should be identified.The documents of such land should be provided by Deputy Commissioner and Forest Development Officer within seven days.After the document is collected,it should be sent to Advocate General so that legal comment for securing clearance from the forest department and so on can be obtained,said the CM.
Inorder to make maximum use of land,a comprehensive plan should be made ready.Cement and Steel industry should be considered.Due to its mineral strength,the Corridor project can benefit Jharkhand,opined the CM.
He also discussed and directed officials to frame and develop Industrial Policy,Procurement Policy and Land Allotment Policy.The meeting was attended among others by Chief Secretary Sajal Chakravarty,Principal Secretary(Finance) Raj Bala Verma,Secretary(Industry) Hemani Pandey and Secretary Mines Arun.
