Six PLFI cadres shot dead by CPI(Maoist) in Khunti

Inter-outfit rivalry among the Maoists today claimed six lives in Jharkhand.

In an incident in Namsili village in Khunti district, about 70 km from Ranchi, a group of thirty to fifty CPI(Maoist)encircled a group of People’s Liberation Front of India cadres and fired indiscriminately,killing six of them. These two groups have been engaged in internecine war in a few districts of Jharkhand.

More than six Maoist organisations are active in 18 of the state’s 24 districts and locked in the battle for supremacy.
