
The month long Sharvanai Mela began in Jharkhand today.Thousands of devotees flocked around the Shiva temple.
Many of them rushed to Deoghar-Baidyanath Dham where the state government has offered a number of services to the devotees including water and health care free of cost.
Even Jharkhand Tourism Department began providing Ranchi-Deoghar package tour for Baidyanath Dham during Shravan, starting August 1 and ending on August 29.The package costs Rs 3,000 per head.
“The package includes to and fro journey between Ranchi and Deoghar by a 40-seater AC Volvo bus, shighra darshan (priority visit) at Deoghar, sightseeing in AC vehicles covering Trikut Pahar and Nandan Pahar, ropeway travel and light-and-sound show,” says Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of Jharkhand Tourism Development Corporation (JTDC).
The first bus had started from JTDC office,Main Road in Ranchi at 10pm on Friday, July 31, and reached Deoghar today morning.
In Ranchi,the Pahari Mandir attracted a number of devotees.
