Right wing Hindu outfits in Ranchi have decided to protest against the celebration of Valentine’s Day on February 14.
Reportedly Shiv Sena’s state general secretary Sandeep Mukherjee was quoted saying,“We organized a week long survey and asked youngsters what they knew about February 14. Around 98 per cent said it was Valentine’s Day, but none knew about it being a black day in the history of the country.”
He further added, “It was February 14 when the mercy plea of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdeo and Rajguru was rejected and they were sentenced to death. But unfortunately, none of them knew about it. We are planning to inform the youths about this through peaceful means.”
