Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das who met the Governor Draupadi Murmu today,has directed the concerned officers to set up a high power committee to identify beneficiaries of the Government’s development schemes.
The benificiaries who were selected on the basis of the old official data have to be identified on the basis of socio-economic caste census 2011.
The committee is to be headed by the Development Commissioner as its President and Rural Development Department Principal Secretary as its Secretary.Its aim has to be prepare a set of criteria to identify beneficiaries on the basis of the Government of India’s census data based on social,economic and caste details by June 30,2016.
This was considered necessary because the list of beneficiaries being used by the state government to provide relief and benefits to them through various development schemes right now was based on old data.And as such,since many families had split and the new ones did not figure in the list,the identification of beneficiaries on the basis of latest Census data was necessary,the CM opines.
