Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba today directed the concerned officials to set up a committee to inquire into the Biometric Attendance System.
Gauba,who presided over the meeting of the 13th UID working committee inside the Project Bhawan in Ranchi said that there is a need to increase enrollment of Aadhaar cards in Jharkhand.He said that in the enrollment of children upto three years of age and old people was missing because they were not able to get themselves enrolled.
“Using the Aangan Badis,all people of this State can be enrolled and they can be included in the UID and Aadhaar cards given to them”,.said Gauba.

A.B.Pandey said that inaddition to Pragya Kendras,Aangan Badi Kendras’ Sevikas will be given authority to link 0-3 age old children and provide them Aadhaar cards.Next,the children of 5-15 years will be enrolled and given Aadhaar cards,he said.
