Security forces have recovered 110 landmines planted by suspected Naxalites across three villages in a row in Palamau district of Jharkhand.
“The landmines were connected in a way covering Talghati, Matoli and Icchak villages along Panki and Balumath road,” said the police.
The distance between each explosive was short and five of them weighed about 50 kg.
The landmines were spotted after the sighting of a wire in a bush, added the police.
CRPF, anti-Naxal Jaguar force and district armed police were engaged in the search operation.
