A veteran Maoist is in the net of the police.Manika Mahato belonging to the CPI(Maoist)was arrested by the security forces on Sunday night at Aman village in Jhumra Pahar under Mahuwatanr police station in Bokaro.
Mahato, who was wanted by the police in more than a dozen criminal cases, was allegedly an active member of the CPI(Maoist) led by Santosh Mahato.
Both Mahatos were accused of charges of murder, kidnapping, illegal possession of arms and dacoity during 2011-2014. Though Santosh is yet to be arrested, the security forces had recovered one gun, a generator, some cloths, Naxal literature and materials used to manufacture explosives, said Bokaro SO Jitendra Prasad.
