“In a notification on the websites of Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), a stunning disclosure can be found”,said India Today in a lead story in its web edition today.
The story reads this:”“It says the 2012 Common Admission Test (CAT) “scores of 80 examinees on the website www.catiim.in have been tampered/altered, resulting in inflation of scores for these examinees.”
The issue was ushered into light after an anonymous caller tipped off the CAT officials, who to their horror, found that scores of 80 candidates on the master database and the website were not in sync. They realised it could not be a technical error since test IDs are not in any particular order.
IIM-Kozhikode conducted the CAT last year.”
