The Chowk(round about) in Ranchi’s Chutia was named after the hero and martyr of freedom struggle Bhagat Singh long ago.

Maintained by Ranchi based Yogda Satsanga Society,the Shahid Bhagat Singh Chowk today echoed with nationalist songs.On the occasion of the 67th Independance day,a senior Sannyasi of the Society Shraddhanandaji garlanded the statue of Bhagat Singh.

Swamiji also unfurled the national flag with ex – ward Councillor Vijay Kumar Sahu attending the function as a distinguished guest.

National anthem was sung by students of Yogoda Satsanga Kanya Vidyalaya, followed by the march past staged by them.On this occasion Vijay Tirki – ward Councillor of Chutia and others, were also present.
