M.R. Meena,Secretary,Sales Tax Department,Jharkhand,today observed that The Goods and Service Tax(G.S.T) Act is country’s biggest tax reform.
‘This will bring coordination among the economic systems and strengthen the state’s economy.So,the officers of the Sales Tax Department need to know its rules and regulations;,he said.
While inaugurating the four-day.work shop of the State’s Sales Tax Department at the conference hall of the Public Relation Department in Ranchi,Meena said that the Sales Tax officers should know in details of the impact of the proposed 122 amendment of the Constitution.
The Revenue Neutralisation Rate introduced by the state government will not minimize the revenue collection,he said and added that a state level workshop will be organised after the financial year ends on March 31.’This work shop will be attebnded by more than 50 officers of the sales Tax Department.’
Today’s workshop was attended among others by Joint Commissioner(Sales Tax Dept)Yugal Kishore.
