He got a monthly basic salary of Rs 46.10 thousand.Now every Professor of Indian School of Mines will get Rs 48 thousand per month.
The hike in the salary of the faculty members of the Dhanbad based ISM was notified by the Union Human Resource Ministry making it at par with the salaries of the faculty members of the Indian Institute of Technology.
The move introduced by the Centre after its faculty,staff and students were up in arms demanding IIT status to ISM,had brought cheers among them.
