A group of Ranchi’s Three Wheeler Auto Owners’ Association called off their strike after Congress’s Ranchi MP Subodh Kant Sahay intervened.
In presence of Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey,Sahay persuaded the agitationists to end the hunger strike.”After Sahayji offered lemon water,they gulped it and ended the hunger strike”,said Deepak Lal,Sahay’s representative.
The agitationists were on hunger strike for the past three days to press for implementation of its charter of demands including end to collection of graft by the traffic policemen.However,since another group of three wheeler auto owners continued to sit on dharna to press for almost the same set of demands,the people who used them to commute in the city were yet to get relief.
