
The state rural development department expects to double the expenditure of fund meant for Mahatama Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act under the current financial year.
The expenditure of fund can go upto Rs 2000 crore.A team was set up under the supervisionship of MNREGA Commissioner,Jharkhand.The Deputy Commissioners were given appropriate directives,said a press release issued by the rural development department.
Jharkhand’s MNREGA Commissioner Vijay Kumar Singh informed that many projects were being adopted for the year 2015-16.During 2013-14,Rs 921 crore was spent.In the last financial year-2014-15,the expenditure under MNREGA was Rs 1038 crore.”To increase the expenditure the projects were taken up by following door to door survey”,said Singh adding that 63300 projects were taken up in the current financial year.
