After they returned to their hostels,the students of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at RIMS campus in Ranchi are compelled to live under old roofs.
“These are decaying hostels built long ago.Apart from being dirty,the walls and roofs are so weak that they can fall any time”,a student fears.
On Wednesday they returned to their old rooms after about a month.Though the security persons were there to take care of them,the old and poor living conditions continue to pose a problem to them.”No toilet and flush work.No authority has bothered to renovate these hostels and make them free from the threat of walls and roofs falling on their head”,cribs another student.
The RIMS hostels had opened after the gory incident of violence compelling the students to vacate them after authorities suspended the classes.Now,a group of security personnel was deployed to maintain law and order on the RIMS campus.
