Reward on 73 absconding Maoists, militants

A combined reward of Rs 8.69 crore on the heads of 73 absconding Maoists and militants of the People’s Liberation Front of India has been announced by the Jharkhand government.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das has approved the proposed reward money in the event of arrest of the rebels, an official release said in Ranchi.

Each of the 16 Left Wing ultras in the ‘ranks’ of Central Committee Secretary, Special Area Committee Members and Regional Bureau Members carry the maximum reward of Rs 25 lakh, the release said.

Varying amounts were also announced for the rest of the absconding extremists.
