Ranchi SSP Prabhat Kumar is in hospital after he was shot at this afternoon.
Kumar,IPS officer, alongwith the security forces were on a search mission when an encounter took place between them and the alleged Maoists.
The encounter is reported to have taken place somewhere in the Ranchi-Khunti border area.
“SSP received bullet injury on his body.He is undergoing treatment”,said a doctor of the Ranchi Based Medica hospital.
