The people of this state have got an opportunity to enjoy classic cinemas of not just Bollywood but also of regions at the film festival scheduled in the city from September 12 to 15.
The festival jointly organized by the Directorate of Film Festival of the Government of India in collaboration with IPRD Jharkhand, was kick started on Wednesday by Chief Minister Arjun Munda.Deputy C M Hemant Soren and a host of others including Director of the Film Festival Rajeev Jain were present on the occasion.
The festival billed as Suhana Safar is being held at Ranchi Club to mark celebration of the 100 years of the Indian Cinema.
The films slated to be shown at the festival will include Raja Harishchandra, Guide, Pather Panchali and Chokher Bali.
