Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today extended Mahashivratri wishes to the people of Ranchi and the state.
Meanwhile devotees thronged Shiva temples in Ranchi on the occasion of Mahashivratri on Tuesday.
On this holy day, devotees celebrate the wedding of Lord Shiva with Parvati. All the temples are decked up and the idols of Shiv and Parvati are decorated as groom and bride.
Devotees offer milk and dhatura to Lord Shiva to seek his blessings.
