Jharkhand Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma on Tuesday reviewed the works of two co related departments-Higher,Technical and Skill Development(HTSD) and Education inside Project Bhawan in Ranchi.
Directing HTSD Department officials,she told them to select professional courses and subjects in the proposed Engineering/Polytechnic colleges so that students can be provided education in tune with the present and future demands.
The CS said,they should identify the land and prepare Detail Project Report to set up Engineering colleges in every Division of the state by 2019 so that the process to start construction of the proposed college building starts in the current financial year.
She said that the Department plans to set up 25 Mega Skill Training Centres so that 12 lakh male and female youths can be trained in the next five years.”Select commercial courses in the new colleges”,directed the CS.
Also,the CS who reviewed the works of Education Department directed its officers to hold health check up camps on a selected date every month in all state government run schools across the state.Inorder to bring the ‘drop out’ students back to school,rop in Block Resourse Persons and Cluster Resourse persons,directed the CS.
During the meeting,data shared by officials revealed that in one month,the health of 1 lakh 27,596 students was checked up in 1935 health camps and action was initiated against 343 teachers who were absent.
Through the video conference,the CS directed Education Department officials to tag Block Education Officer,Block Resourse Person and Cluster Resourse person with the Health Camp,School and Banks.”To get improved result,prepare plans and execute them at the district level”,directed the CS.
