Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has expressed sorrow at the deaths in Bihar and Nepal due to the earthquake that shook the eastern and northern parts of the country.
“The people of Jharkhand are with Nepal and Bihar at this sorrowful hour,” the Chief Minister said in a statement.
He also expressed condolence at the casualties that happened in U.P. and West Bengal.
Tremors were also felt in Jharkhand at around 11.40 a.m., but there was no report of any casualty.
