Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has directed the state run RIMS hospital management to provide free medicare to the victims of firing incident in Pagar under Keraderi police station in Hazaribagh.
Also following demand raised by many opposition leaders,Soren ordered a probe into the firing.The probe is to be conducted by a two member team comprising Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Divisional Commissioner North Chhotanagpur and Murari Lal Meena,Inspector General of Police (Bokaro range).
On Tuesday,the police had resorted to eight rounds of firing to control villagers, who were protesting against construction of a field hostel of the National Thermal Power Corporation after complaining that the PSU allegedly did not pay them a promised compensation.
