All legislators cutting across the party lines except the Bharatiya Janata Party today brought a proposal in the Bihar Legislative Council to prevent Jharkhand from enacting a policy which will bar people from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh from applying for Class III and IV jobs in that state.

JD(U) chief whip in the Council Neeraj Kumar reportedly introduced the proposal signed by the members of JD(U), Congress and CPI in the House during Zero Hour.

The proposal urged the House to intervene in the matter and prevent Jharkhand from enacting a domiciliary policy under which Class III and IV jobs in the state would be reserved for local residents.
