Primitive Tribe family to get monthly pension of Rs 600

Two decisions taken by the BJP government led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das indicate Jharkhand is likely to witness change for the benefits of many people.

The first decision is to provide monthly pension to every member of the poorest of the poor tribal family belonging to the Primitive Tribe.Since the family of the primitive tribe faced economic crisis,its one senior member will be paid the monthly pension under Social Security Scheme.

As per the 2011 Census,there were 64,807 families belonging to the primitive tribe such as Birhor and Paharia.For the financial year 2015-16,the Raghubar Das government has sanctioned Rs 46.80 crore meant to be paid monthly pension of Rs 600 to every one member of these primitive tribe families.

To secure this pension,the form will be made available at the state government’s Block and Circle office.After the form was filled up in accordance with the rule and regulation,the Sub Divisional Officer will approve it to provide Rs 600 monthly pension to the applicant and the payment will be made either by the bank or the post office.

The second decision involves setting up Solar power plant on roof tops of the state government offices to utilize the solar friendly environment available in Jharkhand.

In 365 days of the year,280 days are often Sunny.With an aim to utilize this,the state government is going to set up Solar power plant on the rooftops of the state secretariat in Ranchi at Project Bhawan,Nepal House and CM House to begin with,it is learnt.
