Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi may reject the Arjun Munda government’s recommendation seeking dissolution of the state Assembly with expectation that he will ask JMM’s chief ministerial aspirant Hemant Soren to provide letters of support to prove his numbers in a hung House.
Given the complexities of the political jigsaw in Jharkhand, none of the parties seems to be in a position to fulfill such a stipulation without securing support of Independent MLAs Enos Ekka and Hari Narain Rai who were Cabinet colleagues of ex Chief Minister Madhu Koda who is still in jail facing corruption charges.
Political circles in Ranchi feel that in such a scenario,Ahmad, backed by the Congress led regime in New Delhi, may prefer to recommend President’s Rule while keeping the Assembly in suspended animaion till the impasse is broken.
Today,Governor Ahmad who sent a report to the Union Home Ministry giving details of the situation prevalent, awaited the response from New Delhi for taking a decision in this state.
Alongside,Hemant Soren remained busy meeting the Congress leaders in his desperate effort to gain support of the Congress,RJD and Independents to cobble up the majority. We are in Delhi to explore formation of the government”,said Soren in the national capital.
