Jharkhand Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba today directed the concerned officials to prepare a policy for the development of tourism and asked them to develop infrastructure in tourist areas in the State.
“Prepare a comprehensive plan for building infrastructure in the tourist areas.The officials should visit these areas,inspect them and in consultation with the local people,prepare the plan”,he told the officials of the state tourism department inside his official chamber in Ranchi today.
He directed them to select those agencies having experience in the field of tourism and its development and can organise exhibition there.”We need a comprehensive plan for the development of Maluti and ensure development of mining tourism and forest tourism”,he said.
Gauba directed them to quickly prepare a plan for the development of tourism.”Before adopting the policy,the work connected with selection of agencies should be completed”,he said adding that under the supervision of the Divisional Commissioner a Tourism Development Authority be constituted.
