Police to continue anti-Naxal operations in five districts

downloadIn view of the new government’s resolution to check the Naxal menace, the police have decided to continue the joint anti-Naxal operation in five districts of Jharkhand till the extremists were rooted out from the area.

According to Khunti Superintendent of Police Anis Gupta, the CRPF personnel, Jharkhand Jaguar, the Jharkhand Armed Police and the district police of Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, Ranchi, and West Singhbhum districts are continuing anti-naxal operation from January 8.

The operation will continue till extremism is rooted out in the areas of the bordering districts and the chief of the People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI), Dinesh Gope, is nabbed, the SP added.
Three alleged activists of the PLFI have surrendered during the operations.
