
Jharkhand police have hooked up a veteran Maoist in Gumla.
The Maoist belonging to the People’s Liberation Front of India,who was accused in the massacre of nine persons.was arrested at a village in Gumla district on Sunday.
Police said Bhushan Lakra,who carried a reward of Rs three lakh on his head,was the prime accused in the January 5,2011 massacre of nine persons belonging to two families.
Gumla SP Bhimsen Tuti said Lakra,Sub Divisional Commander of the PLFI was evading arrest in 12 cases of murder,extortion,rioting and illegal possession of arms.
On his interrogations,the Police had reportedly learnt the network of the PLFI in Gumla,Simdega and Khunti.”We are examining the veracity of details provided by him”,said Tuti.
