Police nab Maoist in Gumla,seize explosives,arrest three in Koderma

Two incidents show the police were not sitting idle in Jharkhand.

In the first incident unfolding in Gumla,the police had arrested a Maoist belonging to the People’s Liberation Front of India.

Sukra Oraon,zonal commander of PLFI,who was arrested from Ghagra area of Gumla,was a terror,said Gumla SP Rakesh Bansal. A 315 rifle, a 9 mm pistol, two magazines, nine bullets and a stolen mo bike were recovered from his possession.

The second incident occurred in Koderma where the police recovered a huge cache of explosives including 1,500 detonators, 500 gelatin sticks and wires were seized from a hideout in Gajandi jungle.Three persons were arrested in this connection

Police suspect that the explosives were to be supplied to Maoist guerrillas.
