Police launches ‘Operation Vijay’ against Maoists in Simdega

With the Police launching ‘Operation Vijay’ against Maoists,the cops on Monday recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions belonging to the banned outfit People’s Liberation Front of India(PLFI) in Simdega.

These included 13 Detoneters,50 Catridges,Pithu,Pamphlets,Woolen garments and domestic products of daily use.No arrest was made in this connection.

However,the police claimed that evidences gathered showed the PLFI cadres were present there.”But they managed to escape”,said the police.

Simdega SP Rajiv Ranjan said,the police have launched a drive-Operation Vijay- to free the district from Maoists.On the first day of the Operation,these huge quantity of ammunitions were recovered,he said.
