PM Narendra Modi to flag off Hazaribagh-Koderma passenger train

Come February 20 and Hazaribagh will enter into the Railway map of India with Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagging off a passenger train between Hazaribagh and Koderma there on the same day.

Already,Additional Chief Secretary NN Pandey,who heads the state Home Department is busy preparing security measures for Modi’s visit.

In fact,the people of Hazaribagh had backed Modi by voting for the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.Now,PM Modi is going to return the favour.

Modi is expected to come to the district on February 20 to flag off a passenger train between Koderma and Hazaribagh.

The occasion will be historic as it will mark the inauguration of the newly constructed Koderma-Hazaribagh railway line, part of the much-awaited 200km Koderma-Hazaribagh-Ranchi link.

The train link of Hazaribagh was nearly a five-decade-old demand of its people,The railway project had became a reality mainly because of the strenuous efforts of local BJP leader and former MP Yashwant Sinha. Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had laid the foundation stone of the Rs 3,000-crore project in 1999.
