Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today observed that the people’s cooperation was necessary to keep Ranchi clean and beautiful.
“Toward the same end, every month special discussion was required among the members of the local bodies and on the basis of their suggestions, the work connected with citizens’ services should be implemented”,said Das.
Das,who emphasised the need to establish coordination among different departments so that work is executed in a time frame, cost does not increase and citizens don’t face any problem, made this observation while reviewing the works and plans connected with facilities to be provided to the citizens in Ranchi inside his office chamber in the state capital.
The CM said that in any city, facilities such as foot path, drainage, water supply, transport and light were necessary.”But it should not happen that the road is broken by putting up telephone line and thereby causing disruption of cable connectivity, destruction of the road and inconvenience to people. To avert all these, all concerned departments should hold meeting in advance and work unitedly so that the people face as little problem as was possible”,said Das
The CM pointed out that there were complaints about the ongoing construction of drainage system in Ranchi.”Some where the drains were constructed below the surface;some where drains were laid near the central part of the road. This will not help attain the goal of drainage-severage system. It should be inquired into and necessary action taken to end the problem”,said the CM adding that the traffic signal system must be repaired as soon as possible.
The meeting was attended among others by senior officers including Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba,Principal Secretary(Road),Rajbala Verma and Principal Secretary(Urban Development)AK Singh.
